Our kit determines whether a subject has metabolic syndrome by comparing the color difference be- tween the color of the reagent added by the subject's blood and the initial color,and will make appropri- ate recommendations according to different ranges of color difference values (AE).How do we realize the comparison?It is inaccurate to recognize visually alone,so we build an APP which can identify color differ- ence by analyzing the https://static.igem.wiki/teams/4778/wiki.This greatly avoids the subjectivity of the result interpretation,improves the accuracy and reliability of the results,and can define the color value and compare the color difference through specific numerical values.By using our kit and APP together at home,subjects can quickly and easily test if they have metabolic syndrome or are at risk for it,and decide whether to seek medical treat- ment based on the APP's recommendations.

        Our software is written In Java.The Initlal color of the reagent is set as the standard color.After the user uploads the photo of reacted reagent,the software will recognize the image and compare the RGB value and the transparency of the image with the standard.Then the software will make diagnosis and treat- ment recommendations accordingly.At present,the range of color difference is split into three parts cor- responded to the severity of diseases:1000.there is no risk of disease,and you can maintain the current health status:1000-2000.there is a risk of metabolic syndrome.and it is recommended to go to the hospi- tal to check up or improve your living habits:2000.you are very likely to have already suffered from meta- bolic syndrome.so it is necessary to go to the hospital for a detailed examination,and receive treatment after diagnosis.

        The functions of our FAT-TEST APP are mainly four parts,including photo detection,result evaluation,tele- medicine and personallzed health guldance for users.
        In photo detecion interface.users can upload photos or take photos directly and crop the parts that need to be inspected.
        In result evaluation interface.the interface displays the personal information provided by the user and an evaluation of whether there is a risk of metabolic syndrome.
        In telemedicine interface.we envision that this is where users can communicate remotely with the medi- cal team of our school's affiliated hospital,enable online consultations and obtain professional health advice.However.the function is not perfect at present,and it needs to be further developed in the future. In "My"interface.there are adequate personalized health guidance providing for users,including educa- tion handbook,nutritional conditioning,body building exercise and physician's advice.The handbook and body building video are made by our team members themselves.

        When users drop their own blood into the kit,the miR34a in the serum will activates a series of reactions such as enzyme digestion,which finally will cause the color change of the gold nanoparticles.Then the subjects can upload photos of the reagent tube to our APP through the mobile phone.and the APP can automatically select the area of the image to be identified through the selected box according to the shooting angle.Finally.the APP will identify the color of the solution in the area,compare it with the built-in standard color.Based on the color difference value,the diagnosis and treatment suggestions will be fed back to the user,helping to protect the user's health at home.
        At present,the main functions of the APp are:shooting and uploading photos,cropping and selecting identification areas,providing test results,querying previous test records and registering users'informa- tion,etc.Users can select to use the above functions accordingly.In the future,we will update the function regularly according to the users'feedback.
        Our APP Is free and avallable to everyone.However,only the Chinese verslon Is currently avallable,and an English version will be made in the future.
