Overview

In order to accomplish our goal of studying specific strains in depth and discovering genes that control salinity resistance, six strains were analyzed using transcriptomics and proteomics methods.

Transcriptomics can help us to understand the response of the strains to different external conditions, help us to identify the genes that are particularly expressed, and identify which functional genes increase or decrease their expression with increasing salinity, in order to help us to search for the key genes.

On the other hand we use proteomics, where proteins act as the embodiment of the true function of an organism, so the study of proteins is one of the main focuses of our project. We analyze differential protein significantly enriched pathways to achieve the search of functional genes. We have successfully accomplished the relevant analysis in this part to give a better theoretical support to our project.
