Overview

What We Want to Achieve:

What we insist on doing human practice is engaging deeply and thoughtfully with the world.
Reflecting on and adjusting our project during the whole process when interacting with the world. Conveying our value and considering the impact of our project. Seeking feedback and doing ongoing iterations to improve our approach.

What We Have Done :

Integrated Human Practice
We put forward and engage around the "5I cycle", actively communicate with relevant stakeholders, and make improvements to the project based on their needs to make the product as responsive as possible to actual requirements.

Education and Public Engagement
We will adjust the content and format of different activities according to the backgrounds of different groups, helping the public better understand and learn about synthetic biology.

Cooperation and Collaboration
Through extensive interaction and close collaborative communication between teams, we share resources and experiences to achieve collective progress.

Entrepreneurship
We unite various units to form the TOMATO Alliance, promoting the successful market entry of products from both technological sharing and cognitive advancement perspectives, unlocking product value, and conveying our values.

What we put forward:

5I cycle

When conducting integrated human practice work, we creatively propose the 5I principle and use this guiding ideology throughout the entire process, successfully and perfectly propelled the development of our project and values. The 5I Principle contains Inspiration, Ideation and project forming, Information collecting, Improvement and interaction, Implementation and imagination, running through the whole process from the project proposed, conceived, improved, implemented and vision throughout the whole process of our human practitioners.. This principle closes the loop of hp's work well, and has important reference significance for other human.

Laws Analysis and Standard proposal for PolycoBead

During the course of the project, we have observed a misalignment between new technologies and existing laws.In order to bridge the gap between new products, existing laws, and the current market, we have conducted a legal analysis and proposed industry standards.

"Legal Analysis - Investigation of PolycoBead Application under Existing Laws"
We have extensively studied legal literature related to products and technologies, examining the applicability of existing laws to emerging products. Simultaneously, we have organized the acquired knowledge into a comprehensive reference, wrote the "Legal Analysis - Investigation of PolycoBead Application under Existing Laws". This work will serve as a robust legal guide for other research teams and companies.

"The Proposal of Chinese RNA Pesticide Industry Standard "
After discovering the mismatch between new products and existing laws, we proposed industry standards relying on our previous experience and social observations during our human practice work, aiming at bridge the gap between the new product and existing market. Additionally, we sought to prepare in advance for the influx of emerging products and foster a market order that is standardized and orderly. This proposal has received positive recognition from the Shenzhen municipal government.

From Unit to Union – T.O.M.A.T.O Alliance

By conducting comprehensive investigations into all every unit involved in pesticide usage, including famers (pesticides users), traditional pesticide productors, biotech companies who provides technical support and governments, we have proposed the concept----From Unit TO Union. Starting from relevant units, we aim to connect each group and form a unified union----T.O.M.A.T.O Alliance, which includes TOMATO-Technical Alliance(Technology-Oriented Modernization of Agriculture-Targeted Organization) and TOMATO-Thought Alliance(Thought-Oriented Modernization of Agriculture-Targeted Organization). Through the collaboration of various units in the market and society, the TOMATO Alliance aims to pave the way for market adoption and societal awareness of RNAi biopesticides with powers of the whole union.
