Villagarnival: The 7th southern China regional meeting for iGEMers
Southern China regional meeting is an annual special event held by us SZU-China. We've successfully held the meetings 7 times since 2017.
The southern China regional meeting aims to gather iGEM teams in southern part of China and to bridge a stage for teams to present projects and interact with each other. On this stage we built, teams can draw on the experience of each other and cooperate together to solve problems. With all these moves, teams here with us will manage together to form the atmosphere of discovering the secret of Synthetic Biology.
This time the meeting's topic is "villagarnival", which represents "village-carnival". We entitle the meeting with this name to correspond with the newly-set concept of "villages" this year and to show our initial heart to promise teams to purely enjoy the world of Synthetic Biology. The 7th southern China region meeting for iGEMers focus on being more interactive and interesting to bulid a delighting platform for iGEMers to have brainstorms.

During the meeting, every team does a wonderful and attractive presentation, taking on their projects clearly. IGEMers are all ebullient to interact with each other and work together to tackle obstacles in projects. For SZU-China, we communicate with SCUT-China and SCAU-China and together help push our projects.
SCUT-China
We talk about innovations and the stimulus of our ideas in our projects. By doing this, both of us gain a better understnding of the concept of "sustainablity" in the field of Stythetic Biology and learn more about how to choose a good topic for an iGEM project.
SCAU-China
SCAU-China has a great design of gene pathways which inspire us a lot to adapt more basic logical parts of Syhthetic Biology in our design to better guarantee the touchdown of our project.
The southern China region meeting has always been a stage for iGEMers to better undergo their work. We SZU-China promise to keep polishing this series to become our brand and better benefiting iGEMers to contribute to the development of Synthetic Biology!
IGBA: The 1st iGEM great bay area Synthetic Biology Industry-Academia research forum
The 1st iGEM great bay area Synthetic Biology Industry-Academia
research forum is an industry-academia regional forum jointly hold
by the BNZHU-China, UM, HKUST, SZU-China, aims to provide a
platform based on face-to-face communication for iGEM teams and
related enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao great bay
area. As one of the most densely distributed areas of the iGEM
teams and bio-related high-tech industries in the world, we four
universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao great bay area have
joined together to open up a new way of iGEM meetup, and take the
industry-academia linkage as the core of the forum, combining the
industries and academies in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao great
bay area. Innovation poles and growth poles are gathered together
to deeply strengthen regional bonds and friendly cooperations.
In this forum, we gain the heat point in the field of
Synthetic Biology and learn the core techs of many newly-found
biotech companies. Also, we improve our project design by
comunicating with teams in Hong Kong and Macau.

10th CCIC: 10th conference of China iGEMer community
Conference of China iGEMer community is the national meeting
launched by the iGEM teams in China aimimg to provide a platform
for resource sharing for teams and Chinese young synthetic biology
enthusiasts to promote mutual learning and communication. Since in
2014 it was held for the first time, the CCiC Conference is
focusing to maintain the sustainable development of the community
and Synthetic Biology in China. The platform plays an important
role in all walks of life in industry, university and research,
and has received a good response. At present, the CCIC Conference
has become one of the largest academic conferences for college
students in China.
In the conference, we communicate on many modules such as
hardware and modeling with many teams. Also, we attend workshops
to grasp the potentials of Synthetic Biology.
BNUZH-China
With BNUZH-China, we focus on how to perform a better series of HP activities. We mention about how we do campus activities and learn from BNUZH-China about how to arrange better education and design related materials.
ZJU-China
Together with ZJU-China, we focus on the discussion of how to organically combine two types of plant immunity PTI and ETI to better design our project to realize a more practical product.
As an important power in southern part of China, we SZU-China promise to keep promoting teams' connections and flourishing the development of Synthetic Biology. We hold the faith that with efforts of many more teams, Synthetic Biology will glimpse its new era!
