Hi！ I am Jiao Peijie, 21 years old. I am studying basic medicine at Peking University, a member of the Plan for strengthening basic disciplines. My research field is cognitive neuroscience, and I do clinical data analysis and engineering projects in my spare time. Personally, both synthetic biology and neuroscience are interdisciplinary future sciences that have enormous implications for human development. In Peking 2023, I mainly participated in the project design and was responsible for contacting the medical department and some financial work. iGEM let me learn the basic principles of synthetic biology and also gave me a clearer understanding of myself, our team, and the world.

My name is Zhang Meiyi, an undergraduate student majoring in Bioinformatics. I am delighted to be a part of Peknig iGEM. I am very interested in using modeling and computational methods to solve biological problems and explain biological phenomena. I was responsible for conducting experiments in the team. Participating in iGEM allowed me to experience the atmosphere of scientific research and gain an understanding of the current status of synthetic biology.
