Human Practices Overview
'Human Practices is the study of how your work affects the world, and how the world affects your
work.'---
Peter Carr.
In the process of interaction with the world, we fully comprehended the values, demands and needs of
stakeholders and take effective actions to provide feedback point-to-point. To hear from the world, we
collected suggestions and opinions from citizens and professionals to perfect our project, which can
make sure that our project is responsible and beneficial to the public. To feedback to the world, we
organized a series of fun and interactive activities, including Breast Cancer Awareness Board Game,
Breast Health Dance, Breast Cancer Prevention Workshop and a Breast Cancer Awareness Leaflet. The most
eye-catching activity was our Breast Health Dance, which encouraged the public participation.
Since BreFast has been successfully developed in the lab, our next step is to connect BreFast to people
outside the lab to attempt to implement BreFast in the reality. Thus, we have consulted venture capital
investors and pharmaceutical companies about the production and commercialization of BreFast. which
allowed Brefast to open the door to the market. Click the button below for details about Integrated

To utilize synthetic biology to create a better world, the efforts of our own team alone is not enough.
Therefore, we have collaborated with other iGEM teams to progress our projects, spark our new ideas
and popularize synthetic biology. We actively participated in the CCiC conference (Conference of China
iGEMer Community), where we engaged with other teams, shared our project, asked suggestions to improve
our experiment and Human Practices! Together, we also carried out a variety of events, such as compiling
a synthetic biology brochure of CRISPR technology, participating in "iGEM Map Program", and contacting
all four iGEM teams of Jilin University to organize a joint iGEM lecture specifically for freshman to
stimulate their interest in synthetic biology and iGEM competitions. Click the button below for details
