Education Overview

To us, educational activities should be two-way communications. While we strove to let more people know the potential of synthetic biology and the excitement of iGEM through innovative school and outreach activities, we should also learn how to communicate with people in a respectful and effective way from these activities. In terms of school activities, we left an influence of synthetic biology and iGEM on future generations, and were deeply touched by the curiosity of primary school students, the studiousness of middle school students, the efforts of high school students, and the innovation of college students. We were proud that, through our efforts, some children at rural area started to know synthetic biology! In the aspect of outreach activities, the videos we posted on Bilibili and our tweets on the Wechat Official Account attracted wide attention and praise. We also bridged the gap between the Internet world and the real public through CRISPR/Cas system brochure and Synthetic biology fun quiz. We were very happy to meet and discuss with various people with whom we shared our devotion to the fantastic world of synthetic biology!
