Breaking The Chains Of Pollution with PseudoDetox

Throughout this year, our team has been deeply immersed in the study and resolution of the soil pollution issue. Our central objective was to devise an innovative approach to address these pressing environmental concerns that affect us all. We selected the Pseudomonas putida bacterium due to its natural abilities to degrade polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), pollutants commonly found in contaminated soils. Our approach aims to fully harness the potential of Pseudomonas putida by enabling it to produce two specific types of glycolipids: rhamnolipids and sophorolipids. These glycolipids play a pivotal role in effectively breaking down PAHs in the soil, significantly improving their remediation. The uniqueness of our approach lies in its dual purpose: it addresses soil decontamination challenges while promoting plant growth. This synergy between pollution control and the enhancement of plant biodiversity contributes to the restoration of local ecosystems. By presenting this innovative solution, our team is wholeheartedly committed to environmental preservation, leveraging advances in biotechnology and genetic engineering to make a positive impact on our precious planet.
