Collaborations with other iGEM teams
BIT-CHINA
On Apirl 22nd, we were invited by BIT-CHINA to attend their project deciding meeting. They have marvelous design and idea for three of their projects. We are lucky to get so much inspiration from them.

LZU-CHINA
Numerous collaborations have taken place between LZU-CHINA and NAU-CHINA. We have set up a friendship among members during the CCiC offline meet-up. We have exchanged opinions about each other's project during CCiC.
Later on July 24th, we held an online meet-up for deeper discussion with LZU-CHINA. We have had a deep discussion on the establishment of inclusivity. Thanks to the great success of LZU-CHINA on last year's inclusivity and the experience they have shared with us, our idea toward "inclusivity" has truly been broadened.
We have also participated in each other's education projects —— iG20 & ICII, and have achieved great success.

NJMU-CHINA
Offline gathering was held as a tradition between NAU-CHINA and NJMU-CHINA as our old friend. Our gathering took place during the summer vacation. After exchanges of project-based presents, we had detailed presentations of each group, and exchanged ideas.
We ended up the gathering with discussing the future of synthetic biology and playing card games.

SDU-CHINA
Our connection with SDU-CHINA began through CCiC as well. NAU-CHINA excitedly offered assistance after hearing that SDU-CHINA's project this year needed gathering soil samples from all over the nation.
At Nanjing Agricultural University and later from the summit of Mount Huangshan in the province of Anhui, NAU-CHINA collected soil samples. After submitting the samples, we also filled out the information table with the sampling site's latitude and longitude, as well as the ambient temperature and humidity.
We are pleased that the SDU-CHINA initiative can benefit from our soil samples.

SBC——Synthetic biology carnival
We took part in the 2023 Synthetic Biology Carnival, which brought together numerous domestic Chinese synthetic biology researchers and businesses. We engaged in cordial conversations with the professors while listening to their amazing talks and sharing. Additionally, we spoke with leaders of many sectors connected to synthetic biology on the future development of this field. Representatives and academics from the synthetic biology field have offered numerous insightful recommendations on the choice and development of our initiatives.

NIA ——Nanjing iGEM association
In May this year, we participated in the NIA (Nanjing iGEM Association) organized by NJU-China. At this conference, nine iGEM teams in Nanjing introduced their projects respectively. This association also became a bridge for teams in Nanjing to communicate and cooperate. Through project introduction in this seminar, we further learned about the project design plans of more teams, and provided a general idea for the meet-up with more teams in the future.
Thanks to the brief introduction to our project on the official account of the NIA operated by NJU-China, a wider range of friends came to understand our project.

10th Conference of China iGEMer Community(CCiC)
CCiC is a spontaneous iGEM community in China. The 10th CCiC in 2023 was held by Hainan University from July 8th to July 10th. NAU-CHINA has been actively engaged in the activity with other iGEM teams. Offline gathering had provided us more opportunities for direct communication with other teams from China, compared to previous years. In this year's CCiC, we were learning with an open mind during the preparations for the competition this year.
During this conference, we presented the general contents of our project, feasible solutions in models, and our human practice design. We also received questions and suggestions on our project design from experts in different fields, and other outstanding teams. We explained these simply and applied them to solve the current problems.

ICII
ICII------into China into iGEM, is an event sponsored and organized by the participants from China since 2021. This year's ICII was initiated by NAU-CHINA, who built an online synthetic biology education information platform to make more people know not only synthetic biology but also the science and the public values behind it.
Thanks to LZU-CHINA, CPU-CHINA, NJMU-CHINA, SDU-CHINA, and so many other iGEM teams, this year's ICII has reached a great success.

iG20
iG20 is an education project sponsored by LZU-CHINA. About 27 teams have participated in this project.
It is well known that there is an organization in the world second only to the United Nations in influence - the Group of 20 (G20). The power of unity, closer cooperation and more interesting Education activities are what we need in the competition and what the public will enjoy. We conducted interesting activities that allow us to get more social attention and have more impact on the world. Therefore, here comes iG20.
