Introduction


Agriculture is the backbone of our society; however, climate change and extreme weather conditions like drought are threatening the health of our farmlands. To assist farmers in better understanding and addressing plant drought issues, we have developed an AI-based Leaf Drought Recognition app using convolutional neural networks. This application not only identifies the drought level in plants but also provides valuable advice to farmers for post-processing of plants, enhancing crop production efficiency and quality.

Development Approach


We have divided this application into two parts, the frontend and the backend, to ensure user-friendliness and efficiency.

Backend

We have created a robust backend that integrates a deep learning model capable of receiving and analyzing user-uploaded photos of plant leaves. This model has undergone extensive training and can accurately identify the drought condition of leaves, outputting corresponding numerical values.

Frontend

Our mobile app interface is intuitive and user-friendly, allowing users to easily capture or upload photos and send them to the backend for analysis. Users can receive immediate information about plant health status and practical advice for addressing drought-related issues.
