On October 7th, we invited ShanghaiTech-China to join us in hosting a webinar focused on promoting the iGEM competition and presenting our project. In addition to the team members, middle and high school students from Wuhan Haidian Foreign Language Experimental School and other schools also attended the webinar.
The primary goal of this webinar was to foster collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and encourage a deeper understanding of the field of synthetic biology as a whole. By doing so, we aimed to provide valuable insights that would inspire the next generation of scientists and researchers.

The event commenced with an opening session, introducing the attendees to the iGEM competition to provide context and background information. The main part of the webinar featured individual project presentations from both teams. Furthermore, we organized a question and answer session during which students from the Haidian Foreign Language Experimental School could ask their doubts and explore points of interest.

At the end of the webinar, we posed the question, "What role do you think synthetic biology could play in addressing global human issues in the future?" The students provided numerous creative and innovative answers, and their enthusiasm for both the iGEM competition and synthetic biology was truly evident. Through this webinar, both teams were able to gain a better understanding of each other's projects and found inspiration.
Moreover, this webinar served as an opportunity for students from different grades and regions to gain a better understanding of the iGEM competition and synthetic biology. It broadened their horizons and sparked their interest in this field. Simultaneously, we gained valuable insights into what these students thought about our project, aligning perfectly with the integrated human practice project spirit.
