I am Ding Yi, the captain and leader of the dry experiment group of SYPHU-China iGEM2023. I am also responsible for part of the wet experiment. I come from the School of Life Sciences and Biopharmaceuticals of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, and my major is biopharmaceuticals. Synthetic biology is the biology of the future. It is still in its infancy, and I am very interested in it and convinced that it is a subject that can change the world. He received his PhD from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 2011; he was a visiting scholar at the University of Freiburg in Germany from 2016 to 2017. His current main research directions are the study of microbial drug biosynthetic pathways and synthesis mechanisms, the reassembly of drug synthesis pathways to obtain new functional microorganisms and the production of new valuable products. Up to now, he has published more than 10 papers in journals such as Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology and Microbiological Cell Factory.
