Luedeking-Piret model
The kinetic parameters defining relationship between cell growth and enzyme production by Bacillus megaterium was determined using Luedeking-Piret model.
(For laccase production; R2 = 0.92)
Where, qp is specific product formation rate, µ is specific growth rate, α and β are constants. The value of the constants α and β was determined by linear regression analysis of slope of the line relating qp against µ.
Higher the value of β indicated the product formation is non-growth associated. The product started to form after biomass is developed and induced.
