Overview
The project explores an innovative approach to peptide drug delivery using the Type VI secretion system (T6SS) found in specific bacteria, addressing conventional limitations of peptide drugs by ensuring stable and precise drug delivery to target cells. Through genetic engineering and various validations, the project aspires to enhance the functionality and potential applications of peptide drugs in medical treatments. The anticipated outcome is to successfully establish a peptide drug delivery system using T6SS while acknowledging limitations related to in vivo testing due to ethical and safety considerations. The following are Biobricks we designed for the purpose of T6SS testing drug delivery of T6SS components. We’ve tested most of the components and viewed results of likely successful secretion.
