張菁芬(Dr. Jane)

CHANG, CHING-FEN

Dr. Ching-Fen Chang holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine and has been primary investigator of the NYCU-Taipei iGEM team since 2013. Ever since the start of our iGEM journey, Dr. Jane has been providing us valuable advice by using her experience and expertise in the field of genomics and synthetic biology. We appreciate Dr. Jane for helping us with our project design and giving us kind suggestions on how to troubleshoot our experiments. Beside the “scientific” work, Dr. Jane is also a heart-warming teacher who always takes care of our safety and well-being.

鍾翊方

I-Fang Chung

Professor I-Fang Chung holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Control Engineering from National Chiao Tung University. His research areas include data mining, machine learning, systems biology, and bioinformatics. He has previously collaborated with Chang Gung Memorial Hospital's AI Center to develop a "Pelvic X-ray Femoral Neck Fracture Detection Model" using deep learning convolutional neural networks, aiding clinical physicians in fracture diagnosis. Professor I-Fang Chung joined our team this year and has provided us with valuable insights in every meeting, particularly in the Dry Lab, where he has also personally guided students in solving device-related issues.

王禹超

Yu-Chao Wang

Professor Yu-Chao Wang holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University. His research areas include Biomedical data analysis and AI in healthcare, translational bioinformatics, and systems biology. Professor Wang's lab is focused on utilizing multi-omics analysis to explore potential predictive biomarkers for immune checkpoint inhibitors, with the aim of identifying predictive biomarkers that can assist clinicians in making clinical decisions. Professor Yu-Chao Wang joined our team this year and has provided us with valuable insights in every meeting, particularly in the Dry Lab.


周詠儀(Tina)

CHOU, YUNG-YI

Tina, currently in her second year of undergraduate studies within the Department of Life Science, serves as one of our team leaders. She takes charge of the Human Practice and oversees various team matters. Tina has been actively involved in the early stages of our Wet Lab project design. With her boundless enthusiasm and determination, she consistently inspires team members. Last but not least, she often offers insightful solutions to address problems and enhance our team's performance.

卓采諭(Angel)

CHO, TSAI-YU

Angel is currently a fourth-grade student majoring in biomedical engineering, serving as one of the team leaders and taking charge of Dry Lab. Her sense of responsibility and strong organizational skills always provide team members with clear direction. When problems arise, she faces them calmly and resolves misunderstandings among team members through effective communication. She also has a knack for identifying blind spots in tasks and brings them to everyone's attention. Angel's mature approach to handling situations makes her an indispensable leader in the team.

吳冠融(Aaron)

WU, GUAN-RONG

Aaron is currently a second-grade student in the medical department and serves as the team leader and Wet Lab leader within our team. Not only does he hold significant responsibilities within our team, but he also serves as the president of the school's guitar club. With his excellent singing talent, he occasionally serenades the weary souls in the lab during late nights, lifting everyone's spirits. Aaron is an ambitious individual, and his presence motivates everyone to strive for victory in competitions. He is the team's source of motivation and inspiration.

馬廷妮(Tina)

MA, TING-NI

Tina is currently a third-grade undergraduate majoring in pharmacy, and she is a member of the Wet Lab. In the wet lab, she can not only make good use of past experience of doing experiments but also use the knowledge gained from studying and researching our project to push our team forward. If team members meet the problem, she usually comes out first and effectively solves the problem with them.

羅尹茜(Lucia)

LO, YIN-CHIEN

Lucia is currently a second-grade student majoring in pharmacy, and she is a member of Wet Lab and Human Practice. With the high enthusiasm of researching and high talent of socialization, Lucia puts in a lot of work in the wet lab and also promotes many opportunities of collaboration and interactive educational activities. Her outgoing personality improves the communication efficiency in our team, and leads the team to become more positive and more motivated.

蘇庭誼(Jack)

SU, TING-YI

Jack is currently a second-grade undergraduate studying in the department of life science and is a member of the Wet Lab. In the wet lab, Jack belongs to the group which is responsible for the construction of an extracellular electron transfer pathway in E.coli. He is an optimistic person who is dedicated to supporting the team in achieving their goals and fostering a positive atmosphere among the team.

張東林(Tony)

CHAUNG, DONG-LIN

,Tony is currently a third-grade student in the Department of Biotechnology and Laboratory Science in Medicine, and is one of our Wet Lab members. He is really good at doing research and experiments. With lots of experience, he often leads us doing all kinds of experiments. Not only the ability he shows in the wet lab, he is also very popular in our team. His cheerful personality always makes us energetic, and gives us endless motivation.

郭又嘉(Jace)

KUO, YU-CHIA

Jace is currently a fourth-grade student majoring in biomedical engineering, and plays a role as the Dry Lab leader in our team. Throughout the whole journey, Jace tries her best to turn what she learned from school books into practical application, and being intellectually curious to reach out for knowledge that perfecting our project! Moreover, her encouraging personality also helps the part of Device and Modeling working efficiently.

洪坤元(Morris)

HUNG, KUEN-YUAN

Morris is currently a second-grade student majoring in life science. He is a member of the Wet Lab and Human practice. As for his personality, he is a person who has a strong curiosity. Whenever he is faced with questions about the reason behind experimental principle or experimental results, he will definitely work hard to find the answer. During the discussion of our project, he often comes up with some unique solutions to deal with the problem. With this personality, he helps our team create a huge progress.

鄭聿辰(Alan)

CHENG, YU-CHEN

Alan is currently a second-grade undergraduate studying in the department of life science. In our team, he is a member of the Wet Lab and also takes part in Human Practice. Alan is known for his generosity in assisting teammates when they encounter challenges, every time his teammate faces obstacles, he will lend him a hand without a doubt. Besides, his strong communication skills break the barrier between different groups, helping the whole team work together.

黃國哲(Joshua)

HUANG, KUO-CHE

Joshua is currently a second-grade undergraduate studying in the Department of Life Science and he is a member of the Wet Lab in our team. In normal times, he has another identity called Director of Student Association in NYCU. Although he is busy all the time, he still spends lots of time doing team work. With the communication skills learned from the Student Association, he helps us to convince the school to give us a chance to introduce our team in clubs expo.

黃景揚(Young)

HUANG, CHING-YANG

Young is currently a second-grade student majoring in life science. He is one of the members in Wet Lab and Human Practice. He is the most typical person who believes “Actions speak louder than words.” He usually doesn't talk much in the meeting but he will put his thoughts into practice. He is good at conducting experiments and designed the primer. He really makes a positive impact on not only the wet laboratory but also the whole team.

林子軒(Edward)

LIN, TZU-HSUAN

Edward is currently a second-grade student majoring in life science. He takes part in the wet lab, and belongs to the group that is trying to increase the efficiency and rate of transforming hesperidin to hesperetin. He often thinks deeply and further for the experiment and the team, imagines all the situations that could happen, and gives a better solution or idea to our team. He is just like our team prophet.

陳郁文(Percy)

CHEN, YU-WEN

Percy is currently a second-grade undergraduate majoring in medicine, and he is one of the members in Wet Lab and Human Practice. He participates in a variety of fundamental research, inclusive of biomarkers sensing and rhamnosidase production. He is known for his friendly and approachable personality and always cooperates harmoniously with team members.

賴宥菖(Terry)

LAI, YOU-CHANG

Terry is currently a third-grade student majoring in biomedical engineering. He takes part in the dry lab and is our Device leader! Though many of us did not have experiences or knowledge in building hardware devices, Terry is an expert in this realm. With his past experiences in building electronic devices and patience in teaching other members, we believe that we could build an outstanding device!

余興銓(Charlie)

YU, HSING-CHUAN

Charlie is currently a third-grade student majoring in biomedical engineering. He is the Wiki leader and also takes part in the Dry Lab. Though he looks like a quiet shy man, he has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Not only is he a coding master, but he is also an expert in hardware design! His easy-going personality and responsible characteristic help us all to stick together, and build a great Wiki!

楊欣晏(Catherine)

YANG, SIN-YAN

Catherine is currently a third-grade student in the department of medicine, and takes part in Wet Lab, Dry Lab and Wiki design. She is a creative and positive person who gave us courage and new ideas to go forward and solve problems when we encountered difficulties. Her talent in design and art also help us to present our work in a more eye-catching way.

吳秉初

WU, PING-CHU

Ping-Chu is currently a third-grade student in the department of medicine, and takes part in Wet Lab and Dry Lab. He is one of the cheerful spirits in the team, often able to say things that bring a smile to people's faces. Ping-Chu’s naturally optimistic personality plays a significant role, not only in resolving challenges smoothly but also in fostering a joyful atmosphere within the team.

陳映儒(Irene)

CHEN, YING-RU

Irene is currently a second-grade student in the department of medicine, and takes part in Wet Lab. She is a diligent student, demonstrating great attention to detail in her experiments. With a positive and proactive mindset, Irene always remains calm and methodically finds solutions when faced with challenges.
