The cooperation and exchange allow us to use our collective wisdom to improve our projects. This year, we have cooperated with several teams in UM-Macau, LZU-China, NPU-CHINA, CSU-CHINA and WHU-China, and also with The China Crohn's & Colitis Foundation (for short: CCCF) conducted the collaboration for the integrated Human practice section.

1.UM-Macau

At the CCiC meeting, we noticed the UM-Macau team, which is also dedicated to intestinal disorders. We got in touch after the meeting, hoping to develop a deeper cooperation.

On the evening of August 4th, we were honored to have an online exchange of project and cooperation views with UM-Macau. We explored a number of potential areas of synthesis. We look forward to working with UM-Macau to achieve common goals and promote cooperation in innovation, education and other areas.

The cooperation between our team and UM-Macau team will maintain long-term communication and cooperation. We look forward to further deepening our cooperation with UM-Macau, jointly promoting innovative scientific research and education, and making greater contributions to social development.

In addition, we also invite them to attend the Northwestern Chine iGEM Meetup hosted by us to share projects and discuss problems (click here for details of the meeting)

2.CSU-CHINA

We contacted the CSU-CHINA team through WHU-China. Through simple project exchange and sharing, we realized that our project tracks are the same, and there is a lot to learn from and cooperate with each other. Then we decided the time to hold an exchange meeting for in-depth discussion and communication, and established a close cooperative relationship. We promoted each other through each other's public platform, and sent questionnaires to each other. In addition, they also helped us distribute brochures near Changsha University town for publicity, so that our project also received attention and publicity in the southern region of our country. At the same time, we also invited them to participate in the Northwestern Chine iGEM Meetup to share exchange projects. (Click here for details of the conference)

3.LZU-China

The LZU-China team has been our senior partner, and last year their team participated in our launch of the Gut Alliance. This year, we learned that the LZU-China team also chose the theme of intestinal tract. We communicated with each other through online meeting and initially established some forms of cooperation.

We launched the second Gut Alliance. LZU-China helped us to actively promote the alliance, and invited other teams with the same theme of intestinal to join, so that we gained more support. In addition, we and LZU-CHINA also planned the iG20 campaign sponsored by the Gut Alliance, which aims to expand the reach of synthetic biology and various teams' projects through video. (Click here to learn more about the Gut Alliance)

The LZU-CHINA team members also went to our school to participate in the 5th Northwestern China iGEM Meetup. We discussed the current problems and came up with some solutions. (Click here for details of the conference)

4.NPU-CHINA

NPU-CHINA and we are both located in Xi 'an, and we have established a deep cooperative relationship. This year, we first invited NPU-CHINA team to our school for pre-project discussion, and then we established a form of cooperation: regular online meetings were held to summarize recent work and share new ideas, as well as to discuss new problems encountered.

At the same time, we also used the school's resources to contact teachers in this field for both sides. NPU-CHINA helped us to contact Prof. Xu Chunlan, who is related to intestinal problems. We also introduced teacher Sheng Qinglin from our school to the NPU-CHINA team.

In addition to mutual assistance during the project, we also had some experience exchanges on project uploading and submission, and helped each other solve some urgent problems.

5.WHU-China

The project CRISPReporter of WHU-China team also takes IBD as the project background. Our HP group students have held online meetings with HP group students of WHU-China for many times, hoping to carry out more diversified IBD science popularization activities for the public.

We shared CCCF resources with them, and provided some new ideas for their HP work, such as contacting some patients or doctors with relevant experience through social networking platforms. WHU-China also shared their ideas on the design of educational activities with us, suggesting that we could carry out popular science education for children through the science and technology museum, and provided some help in the process of our activities with CCCF, helping us to jointly write the activity plan of 99 Charity Welfare Day with CCCF.

In addition, we also carried out the project content learning and mutual reference. The WHU-China team organized workshops on our team's content, and we also took inspiration from their innovative promotional videos. At the same time, we mailed our brochures to them, hoping that they would help us to promote ourselves and learn and progress together.

6.CCCF

The China Crohn's & Colitis Foundation (CCCF) is the first public welfare organization dedicated to patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in China. CCCF is a non-public foundation. On November 16, 2018, it was officially approved as a charitable organization. The foundation aims to improve the medical treatment and quality of life of IBD patients, and seek, gather and coordinate all effective social resources to create a sustainable IBD public welfare foundation. The foundation believes that education is the best medicine to help people help themselves.

In China, the number of IBD patients has increased dramatically recently, and it is expected that the number of IBD patients in China will reach 1.5 million by 2025. A dramatic increase in morbidity; The great physical, psychological and economic pressure caused by the disease to the patients and their families. Since its establishment, the Love in Extension Foundation has engaged in multiple projects from four directions, namely education, support, public awareness and advocacy, and research. Together with caring people from all walks of life, the foundation is committed to improving the medical treatment and quality of life of IBD patients.

We learned about CCCF through the patient and made contact with the manager. CCCF had several online meetings with us to exchange projects and discuss possible forms of cooperation. Finally, we obtained the professional IBD science popularization materials provided by them, and jointly held the 99 Charity Day activities (please click here for details ).Let us do more for patients.

In addition, we also learned through CCCF that the 2023 Xi'an IBD Summit Forum and the IBD Group Annual Meeting will be held on October 13 and 14. After communicating with CCCF, our team will participate in the conference on behalf of CCCF and carry out project popularization and summer camp fund-raising activities for IBD children. We also contacted domestic experts and professors in the field of IBD through CCCF. After the meeting, we will talk to them, listen to their opinions on our project, and make some new improvements. We also hope that by listening to the conference report, we can understand the cutting-edge treatment of IBD in China and even the world, so as to get new ideas.
