My name is Wu Yiduo and I’m from Shanghai, China. When I was only a kid, my parents often take me to zoos and aquariums during weekends and holiday breaks. Although now I resist visiting any places with animal performances, getting so many opportunities to come into contact with wild lives at a young age make me a person who is so keen on zoology, marine biology and animal conservation. I desperately wanted to do something for the entire animal population such as saving endangered species, so having a chance to attend iGEM gives me an opportunity to learn biological and biological engineering knowledge which is helpful for my future study.

Hello everyone! My name is Bian Choman and I’m currently a 17-year-old 11th grader studying at Kimball Union Academy. I was born in the crowed city of Hong Kong, however, that wouldn’t be where I stay. When I was 4, my family moved to Xiamen, China where I spent most of my childhood. During my years in Xiamen, I discovered my passion in volleyball and dance. I enjoy each and every moment spiking the ball or simply moving with music. After middle school, I moved to the states to pursue and nurture my academics. Academically, i’m intrigued with the subjects of biology and chemistry because it helps me understand the world I live in. Moving on, I’m excited to see what I’ll encounter and what new passions I can try out.

My name is Yang Xiyuan, and I’m preparing my tenth gradejourney starting from september at UWC CSC. My story with biology was strange enough. I failed my first biology quiz in seventh grade, but thanks to this quiz, I started to pay attention to biology and noticed how attractive it is.I started attending projects and join clubs, and here I am, attending IGEM. IGEM would be my first biology competition and honestly I’m happy to join a group where teenagers are paired together with the same goal and same intrest into biology.

My name is Zhu Ziwen, 17 years old, a Grade 11 students in Henan Experimental Senior High School. Personally, I like listening to pop music, watching movies, especially I prefer to watching war and suspense film. I also like raise some animals and plants. For me, one of the most interesting stuffs is observing my animals and plants, such as my parrots, my snapping turtle and my Venus flytrap. I often do some chemical experiment in my home, like flame test, refining lead carbonate and making phosphine. Additionally, I also like origami, a kind of art to fold a single or several piece of paper into a specific model. I have taken part in a mathematical contest in modeling called Dengfeng Cup and got the third prize.
