Model For PHA Accumulation With Respect To Available Carbon And Nitrogen

Supplying carbon and nitrogen during the enrichment process – carbon during the feast phase and nitrogen during the famine phase – raises efficiency in PHA accumulation. To further understand the relationship between the rate at which the available carbon and nitrogen supply diminishes and PHA accumulates, and identify ideal levels of available carbon and nitrogen, we re-expressed mass balance equations modeling the rate of change of PHA-free biomass, PHA, Carbon, and Nitrogen.
