2.1 Pipette
l Do not hold the pipette horizontally when liquid is in tip to prevent backflow damage
l Replace pipette tips in a timely manner
2.2 Refrigerated Centrifuge
l Pay attention to balancing tubes

2.3 Tabletop Centrifuge
l Clean machine after use to remove water and debris
l Do not move during operation
2.4 Gel electrophoresis
l Wearing gloves and mask since gels are toxic
l Seal media tubes and containers to prevent contamination
l Disinfect benchtops after experiments
l Disinfect waste containers and bins
l We only engineered two strains, Escherichia coli DH5-α and BL21, which do no harm to human bodies.
l We used Bacillus cereus and Vibrio parahaemolyticus as test bacteria and all related experiments were conducted inside the laboratory with BSL-2 facilities.
Our experiments do not involve any human or animal tissues, cells, or genes. All genetic modifications are limited to research use only.
