I successfully finished the Summer Immersion Biotechnology course at the University of Chicago last summer, and I got a perfect grade in the Biomedical Engineering Innovation program at Johns Hopkins University this summer. I was part of an orthodontics and periodontics research team at the University of Pennsylvania and co-authored three papers with them. In one project, the team aimed to modify existing AI programs to segment hard and soft tissue in the oral cavity. I designed an appliance to mount the pig jaw onto the CBCT machine. I utilized the lab to 3D print this appliance in resin. In the other project called ""A Novel Approach For Free Gingival Graft On Mandibular Overdenture Implant Sites"", the organization proposed a surgical technique as another method to stabilize soft tissue grafts when suturing is impossible due to inadequate attached gingival and anatomic difficulties. I helped with data analysis, organizing manuscripts, and illustrations for surgical procedures. These papers won renowned prizes like American Academy of Orthodontics William R. Profitt Resident Scholar Award Clinical Research First Place 2023, and I, as a co-author, presented at AAO Annual Meeting in Chicago.
