As our final biosensor is still in a literature research stage, we don't currently have a good estimate on how safe our final product is in the real world.
As we do not yet have a finished biosensor or biosensor design, it is difficult to curretly determine the measures we would take to ensure it being safe to use. As our goal is for this biosensor to be over the counter, it is that much more important that we have a safe and stable biosensor design and aptamer. When it comes to safety of the students when handling our aptamer and testing equipment, we are making sure that all of us are up-to-date on our safety trainings and are aware of the hazards of each material.
