User Guide

We understand that not everyone in the synthetic biology field is a software programmer. That's why we've made a user guide below to help you navigate OTTER in just 8 steps.

Step 1

To get to OTTER, click on the button below.

Step 2

Click on "Sign In to use OTTER" to get started.

Step 3

Use your Google Account to sign in to OTTER.

Here, we'll sign in with our team's iGEM account.

Step 4

Once you have successfully logged in, you should see this page below.

Step 5

Select a model from the dropdown list on the sidebar on the right.

Step 6

Once you have selected a model, click on the “New Input” button above the model selection.

Step 7

Click on the “Enter you RNA sequence” at the bottom of the screen and type in your desired input.

Once done, hit “Enter”.

Step 8

And that's it!

Sit back and watch OTTER generate your output.

What's next for OTTER's UI?

Our future work entails the seamless integration of our model into the user interface, a task that has proven challenging due to the large file size of the models, making them unsuitable for GitLab's repository. Undeterred by this obstacle, we are actively exploring alternative avenues to bring our model to life within the user interface. We are confident that our efforts will bear fruit, providing a new and accessible link for users to explore when they visit our booth at the Jamboree. This ongoing commitment to innovation and improvement underscores our dedication to delivering a top-tier user experience.
