I am the leader of the Human Practice Group, mainly responsible for social research, project publicity and popular science education. This competition convinced me to pursue synthetic biology research.

I am Jingyi LIU from the School of Art and Design. At the same time, I am also the leader of the art group in the team, responsible for coordinating and planning everyone's drawing tasks. The webpage design and promotional video production we see now are all completed by us. My hobbies are singing and painting. I also enjoy learning about knowledge outside of my subject.

Niannian WANG

Wet Lab

Hello everyone! I was a member of the experimental group, working with them to optimize our CRISPR/Cas12a system, knockdown of key genes in the lycopene synthesis pathway, and straw pretreatment for glucose production. I also participated in synthetic biology-related meetings with other members of the team and had good communication and collaboration with other teams. In this process, I learned a lot of experimental skills and improved my personal team cooperation ability！

Jun Dai has long been engaged in the research of functional yeast and brewing microorganism. He has presided over one National Natural Science Foundation of China. And published more than 60 papers, including 49 SCI and EI.

Lan YAO

Secondary PI

Lan Yao has long been engaged in research on functional yeast and biomass energy, etc. She has published 25 SCI and EI indexed scientific papers. She is a reviewer for Frontiers in Energy Research, International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Bioresources, and other journals.

Xueyun ZHENG

Secondary PI

Dr. Xueyun Zheng is a lecturer at Hubei University of Technology, specializing in synthetic biology, microbiology, and fermentation engineering. With a Ph.D. from South China University of Technology, her research focuses on innovative applications in biotechnology, including antimicrobial therapy, genome editing, and enzyme expression. She has a strong publication record and is dedicated to advancing biotechnology through her research and teaching.
