Goal 3 of the China’s Progress Report on Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development proposes to "ensure a healthy lifestyle and promote the well-being of people of all ages". Our team holds activities targeting people of all ages to popularize lycopene and ensure a healthy lifestyle for the public. At the same time, it is mentioned in the China’s Agenda 21 that the implementation of sustainable development strategies must change ideological concepts and actions, and the implementation of sustainable development requires fundamental changes in people’s traditional and unsustainable production, consumption, and thinking modes. To achieve this goal, our team developed a science popularization book, which focuses on the low-carbon and scientific use of straw as raw material. We have also popularized the benefits of lycopene in various age groups’ activities. Through science popularization education, people’s concepts and action norms changed to some extent, helping to enhance their environmentally sustainable lifestyle and regulate healthy eating and living.
Goal 4 of the China’s Progress Report on Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development proposes to "ensure inclusive and fair quality education, and provide lifelong learning opportunities for all". For impoverished teenagers, we donated money obtained from the activities to help provide resources to ensure the quality of their education. For children with autism, we have customized science popularization picture books, effectively ensuring the right to education for various special and vulnerable groups.
Building an ecological civilization and protecting the environment are long-term plans for sustainable development. Low carbon emissions and environmental protection are current development trends. High energy consumption and high emissions technologies are gradually being phased out, and eco-friendly and low-cost agricultural waste utilization technologies are being promoted and applied. To achieve this goal, our team proposes the use of straw to produce glucose instead of grain, which not only reduces the CO2 emission by straw burning, but also protects the environment. At the same time, we have also addressed the issue of "competing for land and people for food", and promoted the development of sustainable agriculture to achieve Goal 2 of "eradicating hunger, achieving food security, improving nutritional status, and promoting sustainable agriculture" in China’s Progress Report on Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
