Overview

As discussed on our Description page, we made B. max with the intent of it being able to provide a general protective biofilm that others could adapt. As such, we put together a part collection for B. subtilis that includes the genes we found that optimise biofilm formation and resilience, which forms the basis of a strongly biofilm-forming B. subtilis that other teams could build upon.


Many of these are the genes found in the gene circuit that we explored with our Dry Lab, and the choice of them is explained on our Engineering page.
