This is our first year participating in iGEM, and we're proud to have been recognized for so many team achievements. But Awards don't tell the complete picture of our high school journey into synthetic biology, with all the triumphs and failures (and neutral things) along the way. Our team was selected as the High School division First Runner-Up, meaning we placed 2nd out of 121 teams.
Our project, Cyanoscent, was selected as one of the Top 10 High School projects.
We met all the necessary criteria for a Gold Medal.
