We firmly believe that our project, based on the revaluation of wine byproducts through synthetic biology for the production of resveratrol, can add value and strengthen the economy, especially for small companies and wineries in Navarra.
Creating and maintaining a healthy business ecosystem requires a conducive environment, particularly a culture and conditions that foster entrepreneurship and business growth. This culture is built collectively and is based on the appreciation of innovation, collective effort, personal development, as well as the contributions of businesses and entrepreneurs to society.
Within the company itself, it's possible to cultivate a culture that has a positive impact on both the organization's employees and the broader society it serves. In the educational sphere, a commitment to preparing future entrepreneurs in a constantly changing environment is crucial. This entails a blend of technical training, instilling core values, fostering a culture of teamwork, promoting openness, and nurturing social awareness as key components.
Our team in synthetic biology is acutely aware of this discourse and places a strong emphasis on the values of sustainability, the water crisis, rural depopulation, and talent retention in our community. From this perspective, we are dedicated to contributing to the development of sustainable solutions and actively participating in the revitalization of rural areas, as well as working towards the retention of local talent. Together, these values further strengthen our commitment to creating an enriching and sustainable business ecosystem.
This concept has been shared with actual business owners in Navarra, with whom we have had the privilege of engaging and from whom we have gained valuable insights. Among them, the ResvinoLife concept has received a warm reception, and many have expressed interest in implementing our biotechnology if the project can demonstrate profitability.
Furthermore, we could also encapsulate the synthesized resveratrol for cosmetic applications. In Navarra, we could potentially collaborate with companies such as Nucaps and Cinfa, given the multitude of possible applications for this product.
Finally, synthesizing resveratrol and using it in the industrial production of food preservation or processed foods could be a viable option. Collaborating with companies in Navarra such as La Gutarra, Asensio, Palacios, and others in the food preservation industry, as well as Tutti Pasta and Congelados Virto, could involve employing resveratrol as an antioxidant to slow down food oxidation and extend the shelf life of products.
