Parts

The following table contains the important parts we either used or planned on using for the 2023 iGEM competition. Unofficial part names are provided in the left hand column while official Biobrick designations are provided in the right hand column. Basic parts are those that can be assembled into larger constructs for more complex genetic architectures. Composite parts can be assembled in a similar fashion to basic parts, but are more often used on their own for some pre-specified function.

The G-block extension sequences are used to increase the length of small parts so that they could be ordered as G-blocks. The extensions are meant to go before the prefix and after the suffix so that following PCR amplification and part digestion the extension sequences can be removed. Primer sequences were designed to amplify parts with specific Biobrick prefix and suffix sequences. P_Pre/Suf_10 are primers for the RCF10 prefix and suffix, respectively. P_Pre/Suf_25 are primers for the RCF25 prefix and suffix, respectively. Lastly, P_Alt_Pre_10 is a primer for the alternative RCF10 prefix.
