Besides its high nutritional value in the life of many people worldwide, milk provides more than 10% of the world’s nutrient availability. Dairy production is a significant industry globally, offering both economic and nutritional value. Milk alone accounts for about 8% of the world's total food production.1
Dairy farming is a widespread agricultural practice, with people milking dairy animals in nearly every corner of the globe. Remarkably, approximately one billion people reside on dairy farms.2

Why AureoBos?
AureoBos is set to revolutionize the dairy industry with its pioneering intramammary infusion treatment. By offering dairy producers an innovative solution for addressing bovine mastitis, caused by the four most common microorganisms - Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, and Escherichia coli - we eliminate the reliance on antibiotics. Our mission is to drive substantial reductions in milk wastage, make a positive impact on the environment, and eliminate the costly milk withdrawal period, translating into significant economic gains for the industry.

How did we do it?
Based on synthetic biology, we have devised a plan to develop an alternative to conventional antibiotic treatments for bovine mastitis. This treatment involves endolysins derived from bacteriophages, which target the primary bacteria responsible for this bovine ailment.
Design
