"Hi, I'm a biology major with a minor in philosophy. I plan to pursue medical school after obtaining an undergraduate degree to become a physician. Outside of iGEM, I tutor students in a variety of subjects back in my hometown. In my free time, I like to listen to music, bake, and brainstorm ideas on how to make the world’s best homemade cup of coffee."

"I am a junior majoring in biomedical engineering with a concentration in cellular & molecular engineering. I am interested in genetic engineering, and intend on pursuing an MD/Ph.D dual degree after graduation. I love dancing and going on café-hopping trips with my friends!"

"I am a junior majoring in biology and psychology. iGEM is my first research experience, and it's been a great one so far! When I'm not in the lab, I work as a pharmacy technician and write for the Humanology Project, go check them out! In my free time, I go on long bike rides and draw the other iGEM members."

"I'm a sophomore majoring in biochemistry and minoring in studio art. I joined iGEM to learn more about the research process, and meet people with similar interests! In the future, I plan to pursue a master's degree in biochemistry, and become a researcher studying genetically modified plants. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, painting, gardening."

"I am currently a junior majoring in biology on the pre-PA track. Outside of IGEM, I enjoy volunteering at a local hospice and veterans home where I can make memorable conversations with the patients. Some of my hobbies are going on walks or drives with friends and listening to music."

Outside of iGEM, I work in a polycystic kidney disease mice lab in HSC and am going to work on a project integrating population health informatics in the Fall. I am a hospital and crisis volunteer. I enjoy watching films, listening to meditative music, and biking with my friends."

"I am going into my final year at Stony Brook with a double major in applied mathematics and biology. I joined iGEM because I loved its interdisciplinary nature, and I wanted to learn more about synthetic biology. In the future, I’m hoping to pursue a career in medicine. Outside of iGEM, I also volunteer as an EMT and I love spending time at the beach!"

I hope to pursue graduate education in epidemiology or healthcare administration with the goal of improving patient care. Besides being involved with iGEM I'm also involved as a TA for organic chemistry and work as both a tour guide and as a Student Enrollment Assistant. Some of my non-academic interests include astronomy, birdwatching, and solving puzzles!"
