Hello, this is Minjung (or Emma) from KUAS! I am a student leader of KUAS this year. I am currently a final-year student at Korea University, studying `Environmental Science & Ecological Engineering`. Additionally, I am pursuing a double major in `Biosystems & Biomedical Sciences`. My interests encompass a range of fields, including biodiversity, genetics, and human diseases. It is within the realm of `synthetic biology` that I find immense fascination, as it has the potential to encompass nearly every scientific discipline and extend beyond the scope of science itself. I firmly believe that synthetic biology holds the key to unraveling numerous unresolved biological puzzles and can contribute significantly to their resolution. This is my second year participating in iGEM, and I am both thrilled and honoured to lead this marvelous team. Hello, I am Sujin from KUAS! I am a senior studying Biosystems and Medical Science at Korea University! I am currently interning at the Synthetic Biology and Enzyme Engineering Laboratory at Korea University, where I have a strong interest in synthetic biology. I enjoy coming up with new ideas and relish bringing them to fruition. For someone like me, iGEM seems like the perfect competition. I am honored to participate in iGEM for the second time this year, following our involvement last year. I participated in iGEM because I was attracted to synthetic biology which redesigned existing biological components and systems. Hi, My name is Seunghun Kim. I am two years early Admission to Yonsei University College of Medicine graduate school and concurrently with Yonsei University undergraduate chemistry major course(undergraduate 3rd year). Also, I am a Researcher at Yonsei University Severance Avison Biomedical Research Institute and have a National Researcher Number. I have conducted several studies and written papers on analytical chemistry and medical science. Thanks to this, I was selected as a Presidential Science Scholar of the Republic of Korea and awarded the Korea Talent Award in the Research category. At KUAS, I provided expert advice in project design, and as a member of the wet lab team, I performed all experiments related to structural analysis and experiments to identify the binding pattern of proteins and aptamer.

Hello! My name is Minju Ha, and I am majoring in the Biotechnology department at Korea University. In my second year at KUAS as the Dry lab leader, I am sincerely grateful for the tremendous support from my team members. My research interests lie in the intersection of genetics and bioinformatics. I focused on the close connection between genetics and Big Data, demanding computational tools. Currently, I am delving into the analysis of genetic data and uncovering clues for the diagnosis of specific diseases, such as cancer. I believe that the two years of dedicated work have significantly enhanced my skills and creative mindset. It was a great honour to be a member of KUAS and I hope I could foster a deeper engagement in the scientific field.

Hello, I’m Hyesu from KUAS-Seoul. I am majoring in biotechnology at Korea University. And this is my first time participating in iGEM. I'm happy to work with KUAS members. All the team members worked with passion. The time we worked together was memorable. I was in charge of wiki coding. I was worried a lot because it was my first time in charge of completing the overall web page, but I'm glad that I finished the activity so well. Thank you to the team members for your full support. Later, for iGEM teams, it was decided to leave all the trial and error of amateur development in the pipeline. Hi, I’m Sangyeon from KUAS! I am a junior majoring in Environmental Science & Ecological Engineering, and Computer Science at Korea University. I participated in iGEM because one of my interesting fields is synthetic biology and dealing with it using AI models, which was my main career when I worked at a Datamining laboratory at my university. Hi, I’m A-Young from KUAS! I am a student majoring in life science at Korea University. I like brain science. In particular, I am interested in human brain diseases and brain cognitive research. Furthermore, I am very interested in analyzing human practices and behavior. It excites me that the brain is such a tiny universe. Neuroscience and synthetic biology have always allowed me to explore unknown worlds. This is my first time participating in iGEM. Hello, I am Lee, Sungeun(Grace) from Korea University. I am majoring in the Division of Life Science, and currently a freshmen team member of team KUAS-Seoul. I am currently interested in researches related to protein degradation signals and pathways. Specifically, I have focused on pre-translational protein degradation pathways, which has many mechanisms that are yet to be uncovered. Working under the fruitful support of our members, especially members from our Human Practice members AY Lee and MJ Kang; and KUAS members who have motivated me and given me a chance to be able to come this far.
