Overview

Cooperation is an important part of the project, and this year, we were committed to communicating with different teams in different ways. We shared ideas, discussed the problems, and made a lot of suggestions together. These collaborations have driven progress of the project in unique ways. We hope that through cooperation, win-win results can be achieved. Here are some of our collaboration.

IG20 Collection

This year is the 20th year of the establishment of the IGEM Competition, in order to better broaden the influence of synthetic biology and the IGEM Competition, and promote various exchanges between teams,JLU-China held an IG20 joint collection with twenty other teams.

Unity is strength, and it is very important for us to work more closely. It can not only make our projects better through communication, but also enable us to get more social attention and have more impact on the world.

We exchanged our own projects in various ways. Through the understanding of other team projects, we marveled at the power of science and also realized the advantages and disadvantages of our own projects, and quickly made adjustments. We are very happy to make friends from all over the world, which deepened the friendship between the team. We are also very grateful for their constructive suggestions, which made the project design more rigorous and scientific.

In order to expand the influence of the competition and the project, we participated in the video of the participating schools. The video integrates the project characteristics, local characteristics, school characteristics, engaging. At the same time, the viewers can enjoy the great rivers and mountains of China, which is interesting. Whether experts who have a deep understanding of igem or those who know nothing about synthetic biology, they can watch our videos and have the desire to further explore.

At the same time, in order to expand the influence of synthetic biology, we also participated in the recorded iG20 synthetic biology science relay video, video introduces the synthesis of incarnations, let the viewer understand the origin of synthetic biology, synthetic biology for health, green energy, cosmetic beauty makeup in different fields, such as, as the opportunities and challenges of the development of synthetic biology. We hope that through a series of activities, more people can know synthetic biology, understand synthetic biology, and are willing to study synthetic biology.

Here is a video about the event:

After the video recording is completed, all the participating teams will pass through the official account. Bilibili,.INS, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and other platforms have promoted and generated a good response.

Joint iGEM Lecture

We collaborated with other IGEM teams on campus to jointly host synthetic biology popular science lectures aimed at all teachers and students. These lectures aimed to facilitate the dissemination of scientific knowledge, cultivate scientific interests, drive technological innovation, guide ethical and safety considerations, and share research achievements with the general public. This was done to create favorable conditions for the development and application of synthetic biology.

The lecture was a great success, attracting more than 150 students who were interested in synthetic biology. During the lecture, students actively asked questions and engaged in discussions. This level of active participation not only encouraged academic discourse and the exchange of ideas but also helped broaden their academic perspectives and stimulate innovative thinking.

We distributed IGEM competition informational handbooks offline during the lecture, and also provided an overview of the competition's process and significance through PowerPoint presentations. After the lecture, we received feedback from dozens of students who expressed a strong desire to participate in the competition and requested assistance and guidance from our team. In addition to the in-person interactions during the lecture, our team also hung banners throughout the campus and organized regular online science popularization lectures. These initiatives have had a positive impact on college students by enhancing their understanding of synthetic biology, fostering scientific interests, and even influencing their future academic and career paths.
