Why do you think the purpose of our project is important?
I believe that taking on the problem of EDCs is an important step towards fighting pollution on a larger scale. As iGEM members, we can also help society spot the problem - and that's important.

Why do you think the purpose of our project is important?
Phthalates are a danger that isn’t well recognised yet, but seems like in 10 years from now, they will be a very well known risk. We’re looking into the future - the best direction.

M.Sc. Marcin Borowicz

Marcin Borowicz has been a Ph.D. student in the Laboratory of Biologically Active Compounds at the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG&MUG for over a year. His scientific research focuses on bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation on biotic and abiotic surfaces, such as medical tubing. His passion for science and education, as well as his expertise have been invaluable and irreplaceable for our team during this year’s iGEM competition.
