Plagiodera versicolora(Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) is one of the most important forest pests worldwide, which primarily feeds the leaves of Salicacease plants. At present, chemical control is the main control method for P. versicolora, but it poses a great threat to the environment and human health. Although the introduction of Bacillus thuringiensis ，(Bt) toxin into plants is an effective approach for controlling P. versicolora, Bt toxin-resistance also could be evolved by the beetle. In recent years, novel and environment-friendly strategies have been developed for the management of P. versicolora. Human practice is one of the most critical works in the iGEM competition, as it will affect all other aspects of our project. In order to carry out responsible innovation and create the best product and user experience, after we determined that the program was for agricultural producers, we still kept thinking about: Who are we developing products for? How will we develop the product? How do we design products that best fit their needs? How can we deliver the final product to them.
Throughout the design and implementation of the project, we have been engaged in an in-depth and comprehensive dialogue with stakeholders, including many experts, scholars, and even other teams, trying to answer these questions and integrating various important considerations into our final design, product, and entrepreneurial plan.
