The FDR-HBPeru team is a joint group between two schools, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt school and the Hiram Bingham school. We are the only team in Peru and the only high school team in South America since 2016. This year, we are so grateful to have 33 members on our team, and of course our two amazing mentors Mr. David Kostial and Dr. Claudia Muñoz.
I joined iGEM because I saw what high school students were doing with iGEM when I came to the school in 2019, and I was amazed at the level these students were designing, engineering and collaborating. I love working with students who are excited to collaborate and lead. A fun fact about myself is that I ran a marathon once after training for only two weeks (do not recommend).
