Our composite part - BBa_K4902008

The construct is made up of two operons which together express the genes needed to complete the pathway between riboflavin-5′-phosphate and alpha-ribazole and its eventual conjugation into cobalamin (vitamin B12). The genes riboflavin reductase (two subunits) and dimethylbenzimidazole synthase share one of the operons, controlled by the erythromycin promotor and tailed by a double T7Te + rrnB T1 terminator. The second operon is under the control of the CP44 promotor and the same T7Te + rrnB T1 double terminator.
