I am a high school student from Aidi School, which is an international school in Beijing. My hobbies are generally about the world, such as history, geography, and linguistics. As for sports, I like table tennis and taekwondo. The reason why I decided to engage in the iGEM project is that I am also interested in ascertaining how organisms evolve such complex structures like nowadays that we can see nowadays. Gene engineering technology is one of the most important tools to clarify the relationships between creatures, and it also provides many other roles in various fields. So I think I'd better be familiar with this technology and learn to cooperate with others during this experience.

I am a Grade 11 student from an international school, and I am also a member of the wet team. Since I was a child, I have been obsessed with the knowledge of biology and chemistry, and I dream that one day I can make some products with practical help to humanity. iGEM provides me with this platform, and I will cherish this opportunity. Hello, I am Ziyuan Xue, a ninth grader from 171 High School, who is always passionate about learning new things. I love birdwatching, keeping plants, raising animals, and doing all kinds of experiments, and these hobbies brought me into the fantastic world of biology. As an active and curious student, iGEM gives me a wonderful opportunity to further exploration in the biological academic categories and solve practical problems that I have an interest in. The experience of working with my teammates will be unforgettable as it helped me develop my teamwork spirit and learn much about alcohol, yeast, and the biology engineering process.

My name is Muyan Qian, I’m a high school student from Huiwen High School, in Beijing, China. I have a variety of different hobbies from athletic to academic categories, and even games. Moreover, I'm also an enthusiastic sports player, such as skiing, riding bikes, playing basketball, baseball, table tennis, and a lot of other sports. Running and riding my bike is what I do occasionally. I like to ride around Beijing's second ring road, which is 40 km in total. Academic subjects are also one of the things that fascinate me and I would love to discuss things about math and biology with others. The fascination of biology is the main motivation for participating in this iGEM project. Discussing and communicating that centers on biology is my first aim and I believe this will be a wonderful experience cooperating with my teammates.

My name is Eleanor. I’m 16 years old. I’d love to play instruments in my free time. The reason why I attend iGEM is I’m intrigued by exploring how people can use technology to deal with some genetic problems. I take chemistry and biology so I think this is a fantastic chance to practice, use, and learn new knowledge. The greatest gain I got from this activity is that I learned a lot of new knowledge about molecular biology as well as experimental experience and teamwork ability, all of which made my understanding and love of molecular biology reach a new height.
