Overview

In our comprehensive neuroethics report, ‘To fear the future’ team member Seeva Cherukuri takes a look at the ethics of gene editing and its implications in neurodegenerative diseases. She examines the three main facets of our specific project.

The assessment of the project's overall feasibility from a social standpoint involves a thorough examination of the attitudes towards neuro-genetic engineering. This report focuses on investigating public opinions and perceptions, providing insights into the acceptance of neuro-genetic engineering in medicine, therapy, and enhancement technologies. Additionally, it delves into the scientific concepts underpinning different approaches within this field.

We conducted stakeholder interviews and a survey across campus, and have incorporated the results onto the final section of this report.
