INDIVIDUALS ARE AFFECTED BY NEGLECTED TROPICAL DISEASES WORLDWIDE
they face not only their symptoms, but also a cycle of poverty and hopelessness
What are NTDs?
NTDs, or neglected tropical diseases, are a group of tropical infections that commonly occur in areas of the developing world. They are caused by a variety of pathogens, such as parasitic worms, and often do not receive as much media attention and research funding as more well-known infectious disease, hence why they are called 'neglected'.
NTDs present a complex and persistent issue that MUST be addressed.
