M.Sc. Cellular and Molecular biology
Our lovely team leader and the best agenda moderator (100% voted for that). Without her enthusiasm and professionalism we wouldn't have gone so far!
M.Sc. Cellular and Molecular Biology
Another amazing team leader, probably the most reliable person on the planet, our wetlab fairy, who's also the most creative and artsy person we know.
M.Sc. Biology
Our only male team leader, who's not only irreplaceable in the lab, but also educating us on visualisation and bioinformatics part-time (we tried our best).
B.Sc. Biology
Hands down the best plant lab team leader, who's organisation and management skills, attention to details and hardest are a real gem. Also gives most heartwarming hugs.
B.Sc. Chemistry
Our chemistry fairy, who was always on there team needed her and provided her valuable support in more than one teams.
B.Sc. Biology
Our sponsoring expert, whose fundraising skills have made wonders to our budget and insane photography abilities helped us look neat and polished as you see us in the pics.
M.Sc. Cellular and Molecular Biology
Simon has led us through wonderful projects to promote us and raise awareness in the public. And don't forget how much he's done in the lab!
B.Sc. Biology
Is writing this text and struggles, please refer to other team members for further details.
M.Sc. Cellular and Molecular Biology
No wetlab or education subgroups would be the same without her and her valuable contribution. Also doesn't she have the cutest smile...
M.Sc. Molecular and Cellular Biology
Grosses Trust, kleines rush. Apart from being the owner of his wonderful humor, Nathan has showed non-changing support in so many subgroups, we lost count.
B.Sc. Data Science
Our very own data scientist, without whom we wouldn't know how to properly name our files. Chillest GitLab warlock, who always manages to lighten up the mood of any meeting.
B.A. History
The person with the most fascinating major for us, biologists, who overtook so many humanitarian tasks, it's hardly believable.
B.Sc. Chemistry
A dopest person who managed to help out in both labs and aquire a degree at the same time. Also, ask for her chili recipe, you won't be dissapointed.
B.Sc. Biomedical science
Deserves all the heart-warming words in the world, for helping the team on so many levels in the lab and outside of it, but especially on supporting us mentally.
B.Sc. Informatics at the Uni Hamburg
Much-much kudos to our wonderful wiki wizard, who remotely helped build our website and contributed enormously to whatever you're looking at right now. It's great to have him on board!
Lars was always there for us, any minute, any day, and has invested unspeakable amounts of time and resources into this project. We thank him warmly from the bottoms of our hearts for all his advice, effort, smoking jokes and kind words he had shared during this time.
Anke has come into this project to be a great scientific mentor. She always gave the right advice at the right time, speaking truths, even hard, and showing us direction. There would not have been the Oak project without her!
Rene knew an answer to any problem we had, while providing crucial feedback in more than one topic. Our project wouldn't have been the same without him!
Cedric has made such a valuable input to our drylab and wiki groups, providing marvellous advice on everything from website design to robot automation, not just anyone can do that!
Julia knows everything about any plant and its growing conditions, and honestly we are proud that she was part of our instructor team this year, she was such a great support and mentor to our plantie subgroup.
Chris not only provided great advice for the wetlab teams, he also showed wise judgement in discussion and helped the team untangle various questions in the lab.
Even thought we did not meet as often in person, Jan's being on board definitely made an impact for the team. We thank him for being there for us and supporting the project in the ways he did.
We thank Clemens for nice moments in the lab, for being there for us and hepling multiple subgroups find the right way into the project. It was really a pleasure to work with him!
"Burgi", as we know him, showed us great support on several topics, from bioinformatics and hardware to lab adivce. We did not see him often in person, but that did not stop him from being a big part of this project and helping us improve greatly!
Vinca has supported us so much: was there when we first transformed our oaks and she was there in the hardest times before the wiki freeze, all that apart of the scientific guidance she provided.
There was a lot of valuable input from Hinrik, regardless of the situation he always had the right words to say and great advice to give. It was great to have him there!
