THE PROBLEM
Xanthomonas a cunning bacterial species, infiltrates around 27 different plant varieties.
One of its prime targets is the infamous Bacterial Blight, infecting rice crops caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae.
Effects on Rice Plants:
Wilting of seedlings
Necrosis of plant tissues
Reduction in yield
