As we all know, security is the foundation of the team. This year's AIS-China still puts the safety of experimenters first. We are committed to minimising the impact of the laboratory on the operators and the surrounding environment.
The laboratory we are in is a P1 level laboratory, which includes conventional experimental equipment and instruments, such as ultra-clean workbench, refrigerator, shaker, etc. The contents of this level of laboratory are almost harmless or neglectable to the surrounding ecological environment and operators. In order to prevent the leakage of genetically engineered bacteria, the experimental supplies with bacteria will be sterilized or treated with 84 disinfectant before discarding them. At the same time, our laboratory is separated into contaminated and non-contaminated areas（open laboratory area）. Some risky operations, such as SDS-page and agarose electrophoresis are only allowed to be processed in contaminated area. Anything containminated are forbidden to leave this area, we have special apparatus in this area.

We have a very complete and strict laboratory protocol. We believe the protocol can effectively protect our teammates. Personnel must wear lab coats and disposable gloves before any experiment. If necessary, we ask team members to wear goggles and masks. We did not allow team members to wear slippers during the experiment.
As for safety education, each team member will receive professional safety training before joining the team, about how to safely and reasonably operate the experimental equipment and how to deal with emergency situations. We have a routine safety check and assessment every week as well.

First, we are committed to the 3R's. The basic organism for the experiment was Escherichia coli. We are using
two strains E.coli DH5a and AIS (CICC20905).

was selected by the team of Jiangnan University for large-scale production of threonine, which is very safe and commercially available,
we purchased it from CHINA CENTER OF INDUSTRIAL CULTURE COLLECTION.
About human practice. We deeply recognize the importance of personal privacy. Therefore, we pay special attention to the personal wishes of the interviewees when conducting the human practice. We value the personal wishes of the respondents, so we never force others to be interviewed. The respondents have the right to end the survey at any time without any consequences. Our questionnaire was also developed over a long period of time to ensure that it did not invade personal privacy, raise controversial topics, and avoid uncomfortable questions. In the process of data statistics, we guarantee that we will never disclose the personal data of the respondents in any form. The questionnaires were kept anonymous.
